Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 May 2026

TradeDesk ("we", "our", "us") provides reference and productivity tools for licensed plumbers and gas fitters in Australia and New Zealand. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use tradedesk.now, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information we collect

When you create an account or use the service we may collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, your linked OAuth identifier (Manus), and the time you signed up and last signed in.
  • Business profile: business name, ABN, licence number(s), address, contact phone, logo and banner images you upload.
  • Work content you create: Form 7 / Form 9 lodgements, inspection bookings, jobs board posts, quote and order records, hourly-rate calculations, saved standards searches.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, feature events (e.g. "started a Form 7 draft"), browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP.
  • Marketing attribution: referrer URL, UTM parameters and Facebook click ID (fbclid) captured on landing.

2. How we use the information

  • To create and authenticate your account and keep it secure.
  • To provide the features you actively use (lodging forms, generating documents, booking inspections, etc.).
  • To send transactional notifications (e.g. emailing a Form 7 PDF to a council on your behalf).
  • To improve product quality, including aggregate analytics on how features are used.
  • To measure the effectiveness of our advertising — see the Cookies and tracking technologies section.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how visitors interact with the site. Specifically:

  • Essential cookies — required for login and session management. Cannot be disabled if you wish to use the service.
  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API — when enabled, we use Meta's advertising tools (Facebook / Instagram) to measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns and to show you more relevant ads. The Meta Pixel sends Meta information about pages you visit on tradedesk.now, browser/device metadata, and a hashed version of your email address (where available). This is done in line with Meta's Data Policy. You can opt out of personalised Meta ads in your Facebook account settings, or by using browser-level tracking-protection settings.
  • First-party analytics — we keep our own log of feature events to understand product usage independently of any third party.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We disclose information only where necessary, to:

  • Local councils when you instruct us to lodge a Form 7, Form 9 or inspection booking on your behalf (we send the council the document plus the contact details you supplied).
  • Email delivery providers (currently Resend) used to send those council emails and any transactional notifications.
  • Cloud hosting and database providers who host the site and store your data on our instructions.
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. when our advertising tools are active, limited to the data described above.
  • Authorities when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data location

Your data is stored in cloud infrastructure that may host data outside Australia. By using the service you consent to that storage and processing. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information in line with the APPs.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of any information that is inaccurate or out-of-date.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal information (subject to records we are required by law to keep).
  • Withdraw consent to advertising-related tracking at any time.

To exercise any of these rights email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet-based service is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep your login credentials confidential.

8. Children

The service is intended for licensed trade professionals over 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.

10. Contact

Questions or complaints: [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
